Born in the Gaspe region of Quebec Michelle's works resonate an affinity with nature and context. Her current series titled Hosta reflects the bold impressions of nature within an urban setting. Hand dyed wool fabric is cut into 1/2" wide strips and hand hooked into a linen backing. Her style is a striking contemporary twist on a traditional Canadian craft form.
