I use a variety of surface design techniques, such as fabric inlay, applique, free motion embroidery, hand stitching and beading. I focus on colour, texture, pattern and form, and find inspiration all around me. I enjoy the tactile process behind creation, and the metamorphosis of ordinary materials into something extraordinary. My work blurs the line between art, craft and fashion, and I strive to make pieces that are beautiful and timeless. My Granville Island Atelier on Railspur Alley is open to the public. |
